allison update

Mathew Cline is a sweet boy:)  In fact he just surprised me with my newly finished wedding ring.  We made a new ring design that has Matt’s grandmother’s diamond nestled right in the center.  It’s perfect in every way!  So Matt had called me and asked if I had received a package from him yet.  I hadn’t that I knew of, but just to double check I went to check the front porch.  All I saw was a teeny little vase with a flower in it on the front step.  Confused, I was about to walk back inside until Dad nudged me to look to the right where I found a table with a huge bouquet of flowers, tons of candles AND a ring!!  How did I not see that??  Little did I know Matt had been secretly devising this plan with Juli and the parents for the past couple of weeks.

Matt is missed here in Texas.  Not just by me but by all the Richardson girls.  When he was here last, I had told him to wipe the cupboards one night.  When I turned around I saw that he was cleaning the cabinets, (also known as cupboards.) We thought he was really REALLY trying to impress us but apparently only in the Richardson household do cupboards mean countertops.. so there was a bit of a misunderstanding.  So Mom misses him for his cupboard cleaning.  Savannah and Madilyn just plain miss Matt.  They saw a picture of him in my room and started talking about how much they missed him.  Then they asked if I could get each of them a picture of Matt for them to keep.
These girls are just so stinkin cute!  A couple of weeks ago I was re-living senior prom by modeling my prom dress.  Yeeah kidding.  But when the girls saw me they went straight upstairs and next thing I know they were at my door in princess dresses.  So we put on make-up and modeled for the camera some.

Anyway, my wedding to do list is growing and currently includes:
Finish Bow Ties
Flag Garland
Malt bar stuff
Finish Wedding book
Finish Invites
Giant yarn balls
Design bouquet
Frame/Hang picture frames
Find a wedding Cake!
Find a brooch
Make a hair flower
Design signs

I...am ready for a beach day!

Under 2 months now!

Just a quick update. It's under two months away now. You can only use the number "two" 3 more times; 2 weeks, 2 days, and for 2 hours....and if you are breaking it down much more than that then you need to be doing something with your time, like bake, or saw wood, learn a new martial art...

Here is a timeless picture from Brett and Ciara's wedding. I think it's so funny to look back at now!
Haha, we were just two clumsy kids, sitting next to each other, shoving food in our mouths (and we are still pretty much the same, well Allison has gotten better about wiping her mouth, I'm still working on it). So be nice to that person you are sitting next to, you never know, they may end up as family! Who knows? I am so happy things worked out! Things always work out.
We are keeping up with each other through internet video chat dates and lots of phone calls and texts through out the day. Even though we talk to each other around three to four times a day and about 20 texts a day it will be great great when we won't have to deal with wireless internet, cell phone towers, batteries, crashes, drops, delays, and a two hour time difference. We are pretty spoiled though, I can't imagine how hard it would have been back in the day with only letters or like in old movies of even older times when they would just cut off a piece hair to send with the guy...poor guy.
I talked to a girl in my singles ward who is engaged to a guy in provo, so they are doing the long distance thing too. BUT she said she sometimes will talk to him once a week! ONCE a WEEK?!?! I think Al and I would go crazy if we didn't get to talk to each other at least once a day.
Anyways, the count down continues. This has been a long time in the making and 55 days is pretty close. See you all then.

1 week, a bike made for 2, and 3 more months

This is a post from Matt,
I just got back from my week vacation in Texas to visit Allison in-between quarters at school. It was great, good, terrific, glorious, grand, and a bag of potato chips. Allison picked me up at the airport on Saturday and took me back to their house where her mom, sister and her had made a big old thanksgiving style dinner and we played games with the kiddies for the rest of the evening. Through out the week we got a bunch more wedding stuff figured out and went on a lot of date type expeditions around Houston. We went to Galveston Beach, Livinston to meet grandma and grandpa Richardson, Houston to visit Steve and Izzy, and spent a bunch of time with everybody in Alvin (Julianne, Mark, Darren, Allie, Dad, Mom, Madilynn, Caleb, Luke, Zack, Cooper, Savannah, and Maddox.) The kids were all really fun to be around. One of the funniest things that happened; when Cooper and I first met, he had just finished a baseball game and I said, "Hi Cooper, I'm Matt. " and he said, "I've got a cup on!" Then he started punching his cup. It was so funny. I think I might start wearing a cup just to have a way to break the ice when I meet new people.
When we went to Livingston, Allison surprised me with that sweet tandom bicycle! She bought it from Grandma and Grandpa's neighbor for a steal. We are going to love that thing and use it so much in AZ! It was great to be with her for a week, but one week went by so FAST! Our engagement has felt like it has been forever long sometimes and then when we look back it seems like it is going fast too. But it's not forever...in fact it's like 2 and 1/2 months now! Good family, good food, good bike, good trip, good Allison, good times.
